T20 World Cup 2022 schedule announced


 The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the T20 World Cup 2021 schedule.

 According to ICC, the matches for the T20 World Cup will be played from October 17 to November 14 and the event will be jointly hosted by the United Arab Emirates and Oman.

 According to the ICC, the event has been divided into two phases.  The first stage will consist of qualifying matches while the second stage will see the teams that have directly qualified for the event compete.


 Eight teams will compete in the qualifying stage, out of which four successful teams will make it to the final 12.  Qualifying matches will be played at cricket grounds in Oman, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.


 The teams playing the qualifying matches are further divided into two groups.  Group 'A' includes teams from Sri Lanka, Ireland, Netherlands and Namibia while Group 'B' includes Bangladesh, Scotland, Oman and



Papua New Guinea.

 Eight teams have already qualified for the second stage of the event, which has been divided into two groups.

 Group 'A' includes teams from Pakistan, India, New Zealand and Afghanistan while Group 'B' includes teams from Australia, England, South Africa and West Indies.


 The official start of the event will be on October 23 in Abu Dhabi with the match between Australia and South Africa.  The match will start at 2 pm local time.  On the same day, the teams of England and West Indies will compete in Dubai and this match will be played at 6 pm.


 The first match of the teams in Group 'A' will begin on October 24 with the match between Pakistan and India in Dubai.  Pakistan's second match is scheduled against New Zealand on October 26, Afghanistan on October 29 and the other two teams that have qualified for the group on November 2 and 7.


 The first semi-final of the event will be held on November 10 in Abu Dhabi, while the second final will be hosted by the Dubai Cricket Stadium on November 11.  According to ICC, reserve days have also been kept for both semi-finals.


 The final of T20 World Cup 2021 will be played in Dubai on Sunday, November 14 at 6 pm.  According to ICC, if the final match is not held on Sunday for any reason, the match will be held on November 15.
