Asia Cup 2022 Full Schedule

The Asia Cup is a prestigious six-team cricket tournament that is being held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) between August 27 and September 11.

The Asia Cup is back in its sensational format this year with a total of six teams including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Hong Kong participating in the 15th edition of the tournament.

It will be played in a double round robin format followed by a final, which means each team will face the rest of their group once with two matches per side, followed by the top team from each group.  The top two teams advance to the Super Four stage, where all teams will play each other once in a round-robin format.  The top two teams from the Super Four stage will then face off in the final to determine the winner of the tournament.

India faced arch-rivals Pakistan in their opening match of the Asia Cup and won the match by five wickets.  These two teams may face each other not once or twice but possibly thrice in this tournament.

This tournament can be taken as a dress rehearsal for the top cricketing nations of Asia ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia in October-November.

India enter the tournament as the defending champions and are the most successful team in Asia Cup history with seven titles (1984, 1988, 1990-91, 1995, 2010, 2016, 2018).

Group A includes India, Pakistan and Hong Kong while Group B includes teams from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

All match times are given according to Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
